“WWK Concludes 2010 Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology Survey
Participants in the survey have now received their results summary. While the full results are only available to participants, WWK has revealed that the question on the status of 450mm wafers has swung back to a more negative note. The 2008 survey showed a median response of “never” which represented 56% of all responses. In 2009, that number moved to 2015 with only 17% saying “never.” The 2010 survey showed a median response of 2017+ (the last yearly category before “never”) and 38% “never.”
I wouldn’t have expect an increase in negativity given an improving economy. The litho responses were even more scattered. Clearly, there is still a lot of uncertainty about the direction of the industry.”
